Fall Soccer - Zac

In an attempt to make our new place feel like home, before we even moved I found out when Fall soccer was in Heber Valley. I wanted to get involved as quick as possible. They started in mid-September. It helped life feel more routine.

The do teams of 6, with 3 on the field at a time. It was great! Zac had a lot more access to the ball. Even though occasionally there were bigger, really good players on the other team that were a bit scary.

They couldn't find a coach to volunteer til last minute so there were no practices, and they had games 2x a week.

When Zac was not on the field Daddy gave him pointers.

He made his first goal during this season! He did great staying with the ball.

Max did pretty good kicking the ball around the sidelines during the game too! It'll be crazy and fun when they both get to play.

A Package!

We love packages! We got one Thursday night from Nana! (Nรคna: n,  Jessica's, mother's, mom)

The boys got fun bears in Halloween costumes. They absolutely adore them! And they got some great cozy camo pants. The boy love and (need) "cozy" clothes.  (Cozy clothes are what we call warm, comfortable clothes that fit a Sunday afternoon.)

They also got a nice collared shirt. Zac wanted to wear it to school the next day.  This kid LOVES new clothes-who doesn't! Such a cutie!

Thank you, Nana! We love you!

Random pics

Backpost made on November 22, 2010. Pictures from September 2010.

My cute little Max packing up his golf gear.

On the way to the course.

The tree in this picture is right on the other side of the side fence in our back yard. Hot air balloons are a common sight in the valley during the spring/summer/fall temperatures.

The fall colors. It is beautiful! Since I've been driving through the canyon more, I've been able to enjoy the fall colors more regularly. Its soooo pretty!

Define: Stupid

This

 Plus this

while sitting here

And watching this on hulu.com

 (Parenthood-NBC Drama)

Equals stupid

I burned myself. I wasn't paying attention. After an hour of ironing for handles for the primary bags, I leaned too much and the high heat iron fell in my lap. I didn't notice til the pain hit and I tossed the iron off. Then I ran cold water from the tub over my leg for 20 mins. Then knelt in an ice water bath for another 15 mins. The iron broke the blister on the lower burn. But the upper one also has some blistering.  The only time it hurts is when warm water touches it or when the edge of a bandage does. Otherwise, it doesn't hurt at all!! A miracle in my book. I am so so so grateful! And Jon got me these great burn pads that help it a lot too. Hopefully it heals well.

*On a side note, I'm really excited for the Holidays! Yay for October and Conference!

Blogging

Zac is a Primary service activity and Max is taking a nap. I would really like to sit down and read my book, Eat Pray Love, but I guess I'll blog to be timely.

Here are a couple random pics:

Max in a typical sleeping position-finally. If he can get this down then hopefully he won't come in 3 times a night asking us to fix his "gwanket".

The boys watching transformers last Sunday. Lexie took advantage of this photo op.

Honestly,

I feel pretty good right now, which is especially surprising given the circumstances....

Max was sick last night and woke up right as we were going to bed, 11:30p. Instead of changing the sheets more, I decided to stay up with him until he had an hour no spewing. We got to bed around 3a. He was sick again this morning at 6:30, and 8:30, but I think that is related to his acid reflux. The boys were in and out of my room all morning, so I was in and out of sleep. But I finally got out of bed at 9:50a, made Zac's lunch, worked a little on his sights words and dropped him off at preschool.

Now, I am here sewing Humanitarian school kit bags (I need to get them done by tomorrow, but I'm also racing against a potential flu virus that could get me down) for the Primary, with throw up on my pants and listening A Fine Frenzy radio on Pandora. Modern Mormon Stay-at-Home Mom?

Also, do your kids ever act sick??  Neither of my boys act sick unless the symptoms are quite apparent. I can never tell if they are really sick. Zac would tell me his stomach hurt but then 2 minutes later is playing and laughing, or bugging his brother and getting a kick out of it.  And right after throwing up in his bed and all over himself. I get Max in the tub and he is happy to play, telling me that the orange letter he is pointing at is a "Q". He doesn't start to "show discomfort" til right before he'll be sick again, then he is fine and playing again. Is this normal??
