Happy Easter! 2010

Flower Headband

I made this the other day.

(Sorry about the no flash pic)

It was pretty quick after a few "practice rosettes". The sewing was a little tricky, or maybe I just can't sew in a circle. I used this tutorial for making the rosette. I really like it! My sister and I going to start making bib necklaces with rosettes. But I decided I would start smaller. Hopefully, I can get a necklace done in the next couple weeks.

Fresh Tulip Bouquets!

I am on the Parent Council for Max's "school". The PEIP program, through Easter Seals. And they are having a great fundraiser right now and some of the cost is tax deductible.

You're invited to take part in the 4th annual fundraising Bloomfest event to support Easter Seals-Goodwill and help bring autism services to more children and their families in the Idaho and Utah regions. Order bouquets of 10 fresh cut tulips for yourself, friends, family, co-workers and clients.

In this area the tulips will be available for pick up this Thursday or Friday. Right before Easter! You get 10 tulips for $7.00! Today and tomorrow are the last days to order. You can order them at the Easter Seals Bloomfest website or call 801-664-9228.

I ordered 3 bouquets and I am sooo excited to have those fresh beautiful flowers around my house during Easter weekend!

A Happy Birthday and March Madness

(Been lazy about blogging so this is a back post)

This year we decided to keep it low key for celebrating Jon's Birthday. We have a lot going on and are both pretty tired most of the time. On his birthday, he took half a day off of work and got to go skiing at The Canyons (which is where he is as we speak, April 6-lots and lots of spring snow-I think they got 26" of new snow in the last 24 hours.) Then when he got home we went on a nice relaxing simple date. We enjoyed dinner at Ruby River, and then caught Alice in Wonderland at the movies.

Then on Saturday we did the family festivities, after we cleaned our house and signed a contract with a Realtor. I made the traditional carrot cake, we opened a few presents and had a delicious dinner of fresh tasting orange chicken.

Then on Sunday we had a birthday dinner at my parents house.

Since March Madness is in full swing, Jon broke out the basketball stuff for the kids. The boys loved rolling up the carpet and playing. Zac is trying to get the hang of dribbling-its pretty funny to watch.

I don't know how to upload videos on here. But we have a funny one of Zac trying to dribble and Max trying a hot tamale for the first time.

Handsome Little Man

Zac is getting so big, yet he is still 4 years old. I often forget how little 4 year olds are, since he is the big brother.  He went to a "Royal Wedding" Birthday party for a little girl friend.  It was requested that everyone dress for the occasion. Here is our dressed up little guy.

Max Update

Is hard to accurately get pictures of Max's personality. I really wish we had a video camera for this reason. He loves to dance and move and has this cute way of bouncing off each foot when he excitedly runs toward something he wants. He is so very stubborn. He is still have some trouble understanding, which most 2 year olds do. He is beginning to want to swing on the big boy swing but gets himself off every couple minutes and needs help getting back on-over and over and over. He is getting along better with Zac. And actually tends to beat up on Zac. For some reason Zac just takes it, and doesn't retalliate . . . yet.

He is doing great with his progress with speech. He is picking up new words all the time. He had a video taped articulation test a couple weeks ago and he did fantastic. There were 3 speech language pathologists counting each error he made and he still scored the same as an average 3 year and 1 month old boy. He also had his annual test for the PEIP program, and I am pretty sure he will test out. He has come so so so far in the last year! Its amazing and so fun to see. He is so fun to have in our family!

Boys in Their Pj's

I love to see Max wearing the same clothes that Zac did when he was littler. Its hard to tell when they get to the same stages. And I just noticed they are both wearing firetruck jammies! This is Zac wearing the same jams that Max has on.

(Max is a drooler sometimes, its the low muscle tone. Nice milk dribble!)

I love these pictures. The first one really captures their excitment. I can just hear them laughing when I look at it!
