I think its good to have a pic of a crying baby, just for good measure :)
I suppose I was feeling emotional.....but we had bought some flowers at the high school greenhouse and I REALLY loved to look at this purple flower. Then Max broke it off :( So I had to take a picture because I thought it was so pretty and perfect.
Max is helping Daddy wash potatoes outside. I love that Max is wearing Jon's Vans and he also has chocolate around his mouth.
Reading with the boys
I loved this little sleeping smile!
It was great to start getting consistent smiles :)

Enzo's Baby Blessing
May 6
We blessed Enzo when he was about a month and a half old. There was a bunch of people here. Jon's whole immediate family came which was sooo great! My Parents, Lexie and Adam came. And Jon's Uncle and Aunt and her daughter's family of 12 and half...
Rachel was really sick and Jacob went after love. So I missed them being with us. But having about 35 people here was pretty stressful for me, so it was ok. I had a tremendous amount of help, which was priceless. I really didn't have to worry about anything. I have to admit I did sneak outside to the warm sun and cool breeze and enjoyed relaxing while I ate and everyone else was entertaining inside.
After church we had everyone over for a late lunch/early dinner. I was hoping more people would be outside, but it still worked out just fine.
I didn't turn the flash on for my camera so some of the pictures are blurry. But I'm so glad I have them. Thank you Emily for taking the pics! :)
Ummm....
Took a dip in the irrigation ditch :)
Waiting for the prayer
Stuck in the baby swing!
These are Enzo's blessing pics. I completely forgot to take them on the day of so this is the next day.

Max Rides a Two Wheeler
April 28
Jon took Max's training wheels off and he picked it up really quickly. This was the first attempt as trying to teach him to ride a two wheeler. Max was pretty nervous though.
Zac riding along for moral support
Even with his previous success. He was afraid to fall. I found his helmet and pads and he is much more comfortable now. He still doesn't know how to start out on his own confidently. And would rather ride his scooter than his bike. ...I probably should work on it with him....

Max and Other
April 18-27
One morning while I was on my bed feeding Enzo, Max came in the back door crying. You, know the somethings wrong cry and when he came in with his pinky in his mouth I thought, "oh, great. What happened?" When he took his finger out of his mouth there was blood all over. The urgency hit me then. We went to clean it up and I discovered that his pinky had been cut through the nail. As I was frantically running around, while trying not to freak Max out, calling around for a sitter for the other boys or deciding to take them with me to the ER, looking for max's shoes, and gathering all the stuff I'd need for the baby. My neighbor came home and took care of that and Jon started to head home while I took Max to the hospital. I put a bandaid on it because I didn't want blood to get all over or for Max to move the skin around too much by holding it.
The kind ER nurses informed me that there was a walk-in clinic on the other side of the building that could do stitches. So they saved me a huge copay! At that point the story started to get clearer of what had happened. Max was trying to get a rock out of the dirt in the garden. But Zac wanted to get it out with the shovel. Zac kept telling Max to move his hand. But stubborn Max wouldn't, so Zac decided he'd try and get the rock with the shovel anyway. Zac ended up hitting Max's pinky and cutting through the nail.
We got an x-ray to make sure there was no broken bone. There wasn't. And the dr just glued it shut. I'm glad everything turned out so good!
It was nursery rhyme day at Max's preschool and the students were asked to dress up as their favorite nursery rhyme. I recited a couple for Max, and he decided he liked "Little Miss Muffet" the best. I found some tutorials online and made this easy spider costume for him so wear. He loved it!
Cute little Enzo
I saw this idea on pinterest and thought it would be great for my brother Jacob! And his birthday just happened to be a month later! I got 30, $1.00 bills and sewed them end to end with a zigzag stitch, rolled them up and put them in a box with a slit on top. When he opened the gift bag to see money sticking out he pulled....and pulled....and pulled....it was fun to hear his laugh as he kept pulling and realizing there's more money!
As you may have noticed, Zac is pretty absent from a lot of these pictures. I think its because he's at school all day, or out playing after school. Growing up! I am hoping to take more note of what he is doing, some the documentation is more complete.

Soccer with Max too!
April 17
This was Max's first year to play sports! It was kind of fun to have them both playing.
Their jerseys
All ready before the first game.
It was fun to watch them play. Max is so cute to watch run around the field with his shoulders up and arms swing quickly back and forth in front of his chest. Haha! :)
After Zac, we've learned to break things up a bit. Instead of trying to get Max to score a goal, its awesome if he gets to kick the ball!
