My Boys

I was just chilling on the couch while the boys were look at their Highlights puzzle magazine. Enzo wanted to be a part of it too. I thought what a great photo op. All my boys right here in a row.

I love Enzo's expression here!

10 Years

Feb 9

Jon was out of town the weekend of our Anniversary so we went out the next weekend.  We had wanted to go away for the weekend or something big, since it was our 10 year, but it just wasn't reasonable with our financial goals, Enzo's age and not having available care givers.  We decided to stay local. We went to the Blue Boar Inn in Midway. It was fun because this is where we went for dinner for our 6th Anniversary.  It was fantastic as usual. They had a special, where we could do 4 courses, including the most amazing fondue. We should've stopped there! Seriously, I want to go eat it right now! :)

This is at the outside of the main entrance

.

View of the dining room from our seats. Very romantic and quiet.

And my gift! I was shocked! Aren't they beautiful!

We don't do gifts! And I felt so bad that I had nothing to give Jon. If you know him, this is a pretty amazing gift. He does NOT like jewelry at all. In fact, other than my wedding ring, this is the only jewelry he has bought me.  It was a great night to reconnect, I think thats my favorite part about our anniversaries-we talk about the previous year, how far we've come and what the future looks like. I wish we documented that stuff. It'd be fun to look back on each year....maybe thats something I need to start doing....

Going Private

Hey so I decided I'm going to make my blog private. I've thought about it off and on for the last several years, but I'm doing it. I don't write for anyone but myself and distant relatives. If you want an invite comment me here, facebook me, or email me.
Thanks!

Playing at Nani and Papi's

I stopped in at my parents one day and the kids enjoyed playing in the backyard. My dad helps push the 2 feet of snow off the tramp so they could jump.

Zac enjoyed sledding down the hill

Someday Project

Jon and I have been talking, (well mostly Jon, but my mechanical interests are peaked) and some day we'd like to build a kit car or rebuild/restore another car. I'm totally into the older european cars like this one.

I saw it driving down the road and needed to take a pic to show Jon. Unfortunately, he doesn't know what it is.... do you?? It's not a good pic, but it reminds me of a car you'd see on Mr. Bean.

100 Days

Feb 5

Zac's class celebrated 100 days of school by making trail mix. Each student brought 100 of something. They also made a poster of 100 something. This turned out to be a lot more work and a lot longer than expected. But he loved it and had a good time making it, so that's all that matters. And I was very grateful to be able to help him with it. I'm also extremely grateful for the silhouette machine that my sister handed down to me.

A Present from the Boys

Feb 4

When we were buying food for the Super Bowl at Walmart, the cashier gave this ring to Max, and gave him one for Zac too. They both hid them under our pillows. I love my boys.
