Mobile Uploads

About a month ago, I went to this cute boutique in Midway. It really got me in the Christmas spirit. It was so cute and playing great, loud-ish Christmas music.

This was the cutest garland Christmas tree! I asked the lady about it and she said people ask all the time, and it would have to be a high price for the owner to let it go! Someday I want a tree like this! :)

And they had the cutest cookie jar!!

Occasionally, when I take Zac to school there is fog. It think its from Deer Creek. When the air is colder than the water, the creek steams up.

The steam/fog cleared out earlier this day. It was cool to see Timp through the fog.

Max dressed up in this clown stuff at a friends house and I just thought it was so funny and cute!

Max was so excited for his birthday money from Great Grandpa and Grandma, Lyle and Donna Munk! Thank you! He loved putting it in his robot bank.

Zac wrote his first Christmas tag! I only helped him know how to spell "from", and then just with the "o".  He is getting so big.  He is getting a little confused with "m's". He is starting to write them like me, which is not the "correct" way...oops.

Skullcandy Christmas Parties

This was the first year Jon's been at Skullcandy for Christmas, although it seems like he's worked for them for a lot longer than that.

Anyway, they did a lunch with Santa for the little kids and that was a lot of fun. They decorated sugar cookies, ate pizza, got to see Santa and got their first pair of Skullcandy Headphones. The boys had a great time! It was also fun to see Jon at work too. Afterward, Jon got to go skiing for the first time this year. It was the first day The Canyons was open.

Zac was sooooooooo excited to see Santa!

Jon asking the boys about Santa

The photo setup! Going all out!

The office

We were all over the place that day. Zac had preschool and his teacher let him come to the AM class since they were doing a Polar Express party and he also wanted to go to the work party. I picked him up early from school and headed to Park City. Then after the party came home to grab the boys stuff, because they were spending the night at my parents in Provo so we could go to the Adult Work Party that evening. After I dropped them off in Provo, I headed back home.  When I was half way, I realized I forgot the coat I was going to wear for the party! Ugh! My awesome brother Jacob was home so he grabbed it and met me at the mouth of the canyon, so I didn't have to go all the way back. Then I headed home again. Jon got stuck in traffic on the way home from work. When he got home we grabbed sandwiches. Jon had a cat nap while I got ready for the party. Then we headed to Park City-again.

It was pretty fun. The party was held at HarryO's a night club off Main street. The band Eagles of Death Metal came and that was entertaining too.

Drunken mosh pit ...

We got home about 1a. It was a fun night!

Max's 3rd Birthday

Jon was great and woke up and got the boys breakfast and made the cakes, all before I got out of bed!

My adorable little three year old Max!

I've decided that we are going to take it easy with birthdays. We are going to try and not do friend parties for the next couple years. So to make it still feel festive. I wanted to get it all decorated with the Spider-man theme. The spiderweb is from Halloween. It was a great addition! Max has been really wanting a spider-man lately. We watched spider-man for the first time with him a few months ago.

I was really excited to do these simple, fun themed cupcakes. Max had picked out a "pink" (strawberry flavored) cake mix a couple weeks ago. He was set on having that for his cake...so it worked out to have redish cake and blue and black spiderwebs.

We had my family over for a late lunch/early dinner, Hawaiian haystacks. We had our ward Christmas party later that day and were hoping to do both events.

Then we had a silly string war (spiderwebs). Max thought it was so cool!

So satisfied that he did it!

But I don't want any back

It was pretty fun for everyone involved!

Woah, Buddy! Intense!

When it started getting on Max, he was pretty upset about it.

When we explained to him that they were "spiderwebs" he was ok with it.

Something I failed to think through was where to have this war. We had black and blue silly string. The black stained the carpet.

This stuff got all over

This is so not me to be this "reckless". But honestly, it wasn't that big of a deal to clean up, everyone helped. And everyone had a good time.  Even though it may taken me 20 min of scrubbing 30 square feet of carpet on my hands and knees after the party. It was quite a work out, but it looks like I got everything out.

Jake making a face out of the silly string that was on the table.

Ha ha there was even some in Zac's ear!

Then Max opened presents.

Ironman!

My cute boy

Spider-Man! Finally!

Zac got him a Mickey Mouse Playhouse set.

He also got his first RC car. He LOVES it! And so does Zac... ;)

Eating just the frosting.

Here are Max's leftovers

I think Max had a great time!

Jon was great as usual and put our family first. There was a work crisis going on. But he stay with us through the party. We didn't end up going to the Christmas party. But after the kids were in bed, we took a break, ordered pizza takeout from a place in Midway, Cafe Galleria, and watched Sherlock Holmes. Even with the work stress, it was a good day...for me anyway...

Hair Cuts for the Boys

The boys have needed hair cuts for quite a while.  Jon has implied wanting to grow Zac's hair out, but I don't have the patience for that. It was hard enough to do the in-between stages with Jon's hair.

Here is Max after his cut, and Zac before his.

Zac was very mad about hair being in his mouth. As much as I tried to tell him don't use your hair covered hands to get the hair out of your mouth. He just didn't listen. I need to get a cape/cover thing.

But he was happy with the results. We can also spike it and do a faux hawk which he likes.

This week had been an odd one. I forgot I had scouts this same afternoon and it was hectic to find a last min sitter for the kids. Then Friday, the next day, I forgot that Zac had preschool. Who does that?! He has preschool the same time every Friday, no to mention I remembered the previous 2 school days. Geez!
