Sept 3-5 --
We were excited to finally make a trip to Idaho over Labor Day weekend. We've been wanting to go and visit Jon's grandparents for a long time. We got to spend the night and see the amazing garden and animals.
Checking out Grandpa's pigeons
The chickens
The cows
Feeding the cows corn
Checking out the plastic wild life :)
Swinging
The we got to meet up with Jason and kari for the rest of the weekend. We went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair.
Classic carnival
Got hit all the rides! Being pregnancy sick and the twirling on the carousel was a bit much for me.
It was a relaxing and fun weekend. Thanks Donna and Kari for taking care of us. Good food too! :)

Zac's 6th Birthday
Aug 24 --
Jon is really big on celebrating on the day of the birthday, so later in the week on Zac's actual birthday we did a little party at home.
I thought to make it a little funner, we'd have a cool cake. I was NOT up for making anything. So I order this from Baskin Robbins, he loved it! :)

Zac's First Day of Kindergarten
Aug 22 --
He was so excited and he sure loves school. He goes to full day Kindergarten at a local charter school. Its been hard for me to adjust to getting him up and at em' in the morning, but now that I'm over the first trimester, its been much more manageable.

Camping at Mirror Lake for Zac's Birthday
Aug 19-20 --
Zac LOVES to go camping. I'm trying to get him away from the expectation of having a friend or big party for his birthday. So we decided to go camping. Also, Zac has been talking about going fishing for more than a year now. Jon doesn't fish, but my dad does. So we planned to head up to Mirror Lake to camp and fish for Zac's birthday. We were really really sad to miss and Rachel and Jeremy. And Lexie drove up early the next morning b/c she had to work. But it was fun nonetheless and I actually did pretty well with eating and sleeping. I didn't get sick. We also ate fantastically this trip.
Getting dinner ready.
My mom, making BBQ pizza dough-so good! (Jon made amazing breakfast burritos the next morning).
I decided this would be the best way to do a birthday cake for Zac while camping. No cutting and easier to share.
Opening presents from Nani and Papi
The start of a pez collection....if only he didn't realize there was candy and raided them a couple months ago.
I don't have any pictures of the next day, but all the boys when out on the little dinghy to fish. Unfortunately, they left the worms at the campsite and didn't catch a single thing. They did have power bait, but nothing was biting for them. Itt was fun for them and a memory made. The boys like their fishing poles too-transformers and spiderman. My mom and I walked around the lake board walk once and then sat in the shade at the campsite and relaxed.

My 29th (I think) Birthday
Aug 11 --
Jon got off early from work so we could celebrate. My favorite part, is he had everything planned ahead of time. So thoughtful, that is what makes me feel loved-the thought and time that goes into it.
We went bowling at Fat Cats, with the black lights up.
I don't think I've every broken 100!! (It was loud in there and the guy asked Jon 2x what his name was...and still got it wrong :P
Again, huge points for thoughtfulness here!! He got sweettooth fairy cupcakes!! And I got to choose them! Isn't he the greatest!! Let's see if I can remember the flavors: top to bottom, left to right:
raspberry lemonaid, grasshopper (thats a junior mint on the top!), funfetti, chocolate chocolate (I can be a purest), black and white, root beer float, chocolate chocolate, carrot cake (for my Jonny), peanut butter cup, red velvet, and vanNIEla. Loved these!
So did the boys!
Zac messing around
Max was pouting, I don't remember why.
Wow, this game was dramatically worse for me! But check out Zac's score-he did have bumpers though :)
Presents!
Love these!
We went to california pizza kitchen for dinner, which is sooo yummy. I really love that place, but we never go there...I don't know if i can say I really love that place, because I really only order the same thing! But it was particularly satisfying because, I was feeling pregnancy sick and it settled very nicely for me :)
Then when we got home, Jon surprised me with even more!! New pots and pans!! We still had the ones from 8 years ago when we got married and they were cheap then. It was awesome!! I LOVE them! Hopefully, we can keep them nice for quite awhile.
It was a great birthday, and again Jon stepped up to the plate. A date night during my birthday week is always something else I want and he made it happen :) Thanks so much! I love you, Honey.
Random: Just documenting how nice, pretty, and perfect Park City can be.

I Crashed the Honda Pilot
Aug 3 --
By this time, I was 7 weeks pregnant and been feeling morning sick, but if I kept food in my system, I was ok. We were heading to Max's post op appt for his tubes, in American Fork. I was going down American Fork Main Street, 2 mins from the dr office, thinking about when and what I was going to eat next. And I guess I zoned out, (you know those times when you drive a mile and you don't even remember what you passed or that you drove that part?) And I wasn't paying attention to the lights. The Yukon in front of me had run a few yellows before me, and I'd followed her through, and I was doing the same thing, but she stopped at the light and I didn't notice in time to stop myself. When I noticed, I slammed on my brakes and as I was sliding toward the back of their car, I thought, "I'm not going to stop in time"...and I was right :(
Long story here, and I'm not in the mood to go into details. Everyone is fine. The Max's dr comes to meet us at the station (where we waited for Jon to come from Park City to pick us up) to do the post op. Best dr ever! It takes THREE weeks for the insurance company to decide that the car is indeed a total loss. The engine block was cracked and who knows what more behind that. Driving a crappy Chevy HHR (sorry, if that offends anyone) for a month. Strong used car market, means we can't get the same caliber of car for what the insurance company offers us. There is just nothing like it out there. We comfortably, settle for a year older model, 2005 Acura MDX with more miles, but hey it was half the price of the pilot and still meets all of our needs and it has seat warmers! I sure miss my pilot though.
