A Couple Firsts

While we were at the baseball game, I took Enzo to the bathroom to change his diaper and while in there I decided that I had to go. But I really didn't want to take him back to Jon and then come back....so I successfully went pee while holding Enzo. It was a little weird.

And the other day he pooped right before he fell asleep for his nap. So I changed his diaper while he was sleeping and he didn't wake up!

I'm a little surprised that these firsts came with my third baby!

Karate

We've been talking about putting Zac in karate for like 2-3 years. But it was just a big investment that I didn't feel like we could make. This summer, we decided to finally try it out. Zac LOVED it and so we put him in. Max seems to like it too. But I don't know how long he'll like it. So we'll see what he decides. We also registered them for karate summer camp. They both LOVED it!!!  It wore them out pretty good though, which made for tougher afternoons that I expected. I was very grateful to put them in the camp because it got them involved fast and furious. They got to know people faster and they even got to test for their next belt at the end of the week. Normally, they only test for the next belt 4 times a year.

This is the last day of camp and before they got their promotions!

They are starting the promotion. It took about an hour total. They had the boys do forms, self defense, blocks and kicks. All the black belts judged to see if they were ready for the next belt.

Enzo just hanging out patiently waiting

This is Zac doing Taikyoku Shodan

Max is doing some self defense here

Max getting his white belt yellow stripe promotion! He's a little ninja!

Zac got his yellow belt!

Way to go boys!

Enzo: 4 Months

At his first birthday I'll put all the pictures together and see the difference all at once!

Munk Sibling Get Together

Sarah, Jon's sister usually plans a sibling reunion each summer. She lives in the Layton area and it was so fun to have all the siblings there this year! We only live about 2 hours from Sarah, but still we only see them for big family events.

This was a pirate game they brought. The boys had fun with it. Even I thought it looked pretty fun! You push the pirate in the barrel and put knives all around trying to get the pirate to jump out. A random hole is a different one each time.

It was great to have a pavilion because it was rainy off and on through the whole day.

Again, Enzo was a champ and even took a couple cat naps in his carseat.

I love merry go rounds when I was a kid! I didn't know they still had them at parks anymore! Emily took the rest of these pics.

I thought this was a really good pic of our family!

All the cousins, except Ammon.

Can't Get Enough Enzo

As hard as its been to have #3, I've also enjoyed each little stage so much more than with the other kids.  I think I realize how precious it is and how quickly it goes by. The things we learn with age. :)

I just thought Enzo was cute standing there on his thick little legs.

This is what he looks like after 9 hours of sleep, right before he gets up to eat around the 5a hr.

I've been thinking of documenting the everyday stuff more often. That is what our lives are made up of. So this is my attempt hopefully it won't be too boring.

Jon has some event to be to so we spent the day and evening in Provo. We got home late, Enzo was tired and hungry and needed a bath from sweating through the hot day!

Again, I just thought he looked cute here

Enzo LOVES to chew on anything. Including his fingers. So I got him some teethers hoping he'd take to those. He loves this rubbery ring, but he can't hold it for very long.

This is a little stuffed dog Maryanne got him. Its fun to see him enjoying his toys more.

Owls Baseball Game

Since the boys played T-ball this year, we've really wanted to take them to a baseball game. We could get really good seats, discounted with the Pass of All Passes that we got for Christmas-Thanks Maryanne! It was fun to do something different. The boys did get bored after a little bit. But they were still really good.

I love my little family!

Camping

Jon's been wanting to go camping this summer with the fam. Last year we didn't camp at all, with moving and being pregnant and other busyness.  Initially, I wasn't going to go at all. Enzo and I would go up for dinner and a fire and then head home for the evening. He is such a good baby and generally, sleeps good. I decided if we went to a campsite that was close and I could come home if I wanted, then I would try it.

We went to wasatch state park in Midway. Jon had that day off, (well, he still worked from home half the day) it was wonderful to have him help so much in getting ready! There's no way I could've done it alone. And we actually had time to cook dutch oven instead of just hot dogs!

It was sooo hot when we got there. Setting up the tent was not fun. It was also tricky because Enzo was tired, hot, and sweaty. I couldn't get him to sleep more than 15 mins in my arms.

We met our friends the Thunell's up there too. It was great to camp with friends. The boys had a blast playing with their boys of the same age :)

Enzo hanging out in the car since it was so sweaty in his carseat. Max helping him look at a book.

The campsite didn't have much shade. There was a lot of privacy which was nice though.

Out the back corner of the site there were a few stairs to some trails that connected all the campsites and the boys loved playing back there and using that way to get to our friends campsite too!

Friends!

After dinner, getting Enzo to settle down before putting him to bed.

Roasting marshmallows

Jon telling a scary story

Enzo slept really good that night! And it was such a warm night so I didn't have to worry about him being cold. He woke up about 5:30a to eat. Unfortunately, the thermos we brought for hot water didn't work that well. The bottle wasn't warm enough. Enzo would NOT drink it! I was stressed thinking what are we going to do?! We didn't even bring the camp stove b/c our friends brought theirs. Then I remembered that the bathrooms had HOT, RUNNING water!!!!! YES!! I had to wake Jon up to keep Enzo placated while I ran to get warm water. I had to toss the whole 6 oz bottle that was not warm enough :(  But gratefully he ate great, then went back to sleep after a little while. I think it was too light outside for him to fall asleep quickly. Then he slept til 8 or so. He squirms out of his little bed roll every night.

Max slept the longest! I can't believe it! Normally, he wakes up first. Zac was the first one up this time. He was up at 5:30a when Enzo got up and had a hard time falling back to sleep.

The Thunell's made breakfast and we hoped to hang out for a while up there, but it was sooooo hot!! We just cleaned up and headed home.

I'm soooo glad it was a success!! Again, another time when our eyes were opened to how people with babies actually go and do things-if they have good babies! :)
