Tag Blanket

On August 7, Jon went to New York for a Press Event. He was gone for 3 days. And I decided to keep myself busy at night, I'd watch a movie one night, catch up on my shows another, and craft another. The day Jon came back, I decided to make these little tag blankets. It was a last min idea after a friend was admiring the one I made for Enzo. Unfortunately, there are no fabric stores closer than 40 mins away. But then I remembered, I heard there is a boutique in Midway that sells fabric.  I ran up there with the boys right before they closed and got this cute fabric. It wasn't my first choice but it worked out well. I especially loved all the different trims they had that matched the fabric by the same designer. My brain wasn't all there, so I didn't have enough to make blankets. I ended up getting more ribbon at walmart to finish the second one.

Wasatch County Fair Carnival

This is the first time we went to the local carnival. Art City days, and Strawberry Days are just too far to drive. Jon isn't too keen on going to these types of events, so I have to be on my game and all ready to go.

The boys LOVE to ride the little rides

A Carnie!

In one of these berry rides, there was a dad with his little kid and then some other adolescent girls. The girls were spinning that berry so much the dad had his face covered the whole time because he was sick. And the ride operator seemed to make the ride last forever!

I don't know if its because of movies or a memory from my childhood, but I've always wanted to play the game where you toss rings on coke bottles or ping pong balls in fish bowls. It wasn't as satisfying as I had hoped....

We couldn't leave the boys out of the games!

The Carnie on this ride was so fun for the kids. He had a lot of energy and gave the kids high fives almost every time they went around.

Enzo is SUCH a good baby!! He was chill the whole time, til he got tired. Then he just fell asleep in my arms. I love that!

Pool Days!

We sure LOVE going to the pool! Unfortunately, with a new baby we didn't get there too much. Hopefully, we'll spend lots of time there this summer!

We were gifted seven peaks season passes and we only made it there once. Enzo was a champ though. I just kept him in a breathable mesh like baby carrier while we moved around place to place. There are some drop offs in the lazy river and I was surprised by the first one.....so was Enzo. But he was such a good baby.

These were taken at the Veteran's Pool in Provo, early in August. I was so glad Enzo took a short nap.

Our most favorite pool buddies! Sophie, Max, Zac and Chance!

I LOVE that my boys play so well together. When we are cooped up in the winter, they get sooo super hyper with no where to go. I sure miss these summer days!

I also LOVE this picture of Enzo! It was a bit tricky taking a picture of him while holding the camera and keeping his face out of the water!

Pioneer Day Fireworks

We never seem to be able to do our home fireworks on the Fourth of July. This year, if I remember correctly, I think there were so many fires around the area and it was so dry that I was worried about doing them, so we waited for things to settle down.

Dave, Jon's brother was with us for about a week during this time, because he had knee surgery. We were taking care of him since he was pretty immobile for the first week or so. I think he was pretty drugged up with pain killers ;)

The neighbors to the south of us were doing aerial fireworks that were pretty loud. One even went side ways right in front of where we were doing fireworks it was pretty scary, that one. Enzo wasn't a fan of all the loud noises, especially the screaming ones.  We spent half the time watching from the house.

I remember really liking all fireworks when I was a kid. But now I feel like the home fireworks are so lame. But I think the boys really like them.

5-6 months

Just some pics of my little cutie, Enzo.

Zac "Lost" His First Tooth!

In August, Zac's bottom tooth was probably loose for about a month before he started to give it more attention. Even then he was very careful with it. It took another 3 weeks before it came out. But the tooth didn't really one out on its own.... When we tried to help him get it out he would freak out because he was so afraid. He had an appt to get a cavity filled (yes, a cavity :( we never flossed, but now we do every night.) and I decided to have the dentist pull it, but not tell Zac. (I know some parenting publications say to tell your child what is going to happen. But with Zac I've experienced that his anxiety of knowing what is coming is way, way worse than a very short awareness of the potential hurt.) That way we would minimize the drama and trauma that would ensue had we tried to pull it for Zac. He didn't even know the denitst pulled it out! It was a very positive experience for all of us!

Oh and I just included that middle picture in there because the boys thought it was a sprinkle. Max tried to eat it and then found out it was a broken piece of colored pencil! We thought it was funny!
