July 13 --
Jeremy's family has a boat and we were sooo lucky be to able to go out with Rachel and Jeremy and a couple of their friends one day. I LOVE LOVE LOVE boating. I honestly want to have access to one some day. (I don't know if I mentioned, but Rachel and Jeremy came out from Mesa, and stayed for a couple weeks during the month of July).
Surprisingly, the boys were excited to go out on the tube. I think our last Lake Powell trip helped them warm up to the water faster this time. After a few dips, Zac was independent and enjoying swimming around by himself. Max did ok as long as I was holding on to him.
I didn't expect them to up for tubing without Jon and I was only up for it b/c I'd have the boys on with me, which meant it'd be slow and no falling off.
This was the before picture. The boys were pretty excited but a little nervous. Things were going good. And then Jeremy slowed down a bit too much while there was a slight turn, and the front of the tube was diving down into the water. Haha, both boys slid off the front and the tube drove over them. It was hilarious. Zac was fine, but I slipped into the water and grabbed Max and held him up so he felt more out of the water. We tried to position it all as a funny thing and didn't let them think it was scary. When they were back on the boat they were happy and telling everyone they did a funny trick and they didn't drown. But now in December, Max is looking at this picture and saying, "I didn't drown".

Lexie's 18th Birthday
July 10 --
I wanted to make sure Lexie had a celebration for her 18th birthday, even though it was low key still and not a huge party. I've been eye cupcake cakes and I also wanted to do something fun but not so juvenile. So I made this:
Goofy Adam
Nani reading to my boys
Chatting
Jeremy twisting the hat around so it spins
I don't even remember what we had for dinner- I think it was some kind of mexican meal. Then on the way out to the car I was holding the extra cupcake flower and the cardboard support had a bend that I'd been warning everyone about....but then I forgot and all the rest of the cupcakes fell on the ground face down. So sad!

Rachel's Baby Shower
July 9 -- Since this was more than 6 months ago . . . I don't remember much. I was pretty excited that Rachel was finally having a baby and eager to plan a baby shower for her. I know how much my baby showers helped me be prepared to have a baby. I got together with Michelle, Rachel's MIL and Ashley, her SIL and we planned a baseball theme shower-inspired by Jeremy the daddy-to-be. Church buildings are not my favorite place to have a party--but there wasn't a home option and it worked really good because there were sooo many people who came and there wouldn't have been any room at a house! It was a lot of fun and there was so many cute ideas how there. But with budget we need to keep things in check. Michelle did all the food and quilted lots of baby blankets and Ashley helped with food prep and made some cute things to help decorate and make it festive. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I got these from Ashley.
For the games we played the price is right, using all the baby stuff on the left of the table, and prizes were Bath and Body works swag.
We also played a nursery rhyme game, and had a diaper raffle (which was awesome!)
I've been wanting to make a bunting for the last few years and I finally got around to doing it. I thought it turned out great. And hoped Rachel could use it in the baby's room to decorate too.
Ashley made this great baseball banner
Here are the food tables
I saw this in another blog, little boy onesies on a clothes line. So cute! They are all baseball themed too.
Oh also, I think there may be a post earlier about this. But I made the diaper cake, and the diaper raffle prizes were Skullcandy headphones.

The Zoo
July 7
Our old friends the Larsen's came to visit. It was fun to catch up. I'm waiting for a picture from Denise. Of us 3 girls. And I could post one from like 13 years ago and then a current one! Ha :)....if can find it. I have been looking for it for the last 45 mins. Its been kicking around here for years! And when I actually want it I can't find it!
Anyway, after that we went to the Zoo with our friends the Oleksa's. ----
Today, four and a half months later...I'll finish this post...
The boys had a great time! And it was so easy for me since there were 2 older girls who love to dote on Max! I enjoyed hanging out with my friend Emily.
Tiger
?
These Dinos were new, and were animatronic (if thats the right word). It was pretty creepy to be up close.
Yummy Pizza
Zac LOVES maps!
We stayed for the Elephant show...which to be honest was pretty slow and lame.
Digging for fossils in the sand box.
Yummy ice cream cones that tasted a little like different flavors of laffy taffy.
These Dinos sprayed water occasionally.
All wet
Max, Navie, Aidan
On the train
My friend Emily
I thought Max looked so cute in this hat!

To Blog or Not to Blog....
I'm not in the mood to do this...in fact, I should probably be preparing a talk for Stake Conference this Sunday...we were told there are no assigned speakers and they asked everyone to prepare a talk, as they are going to make the decision who will speak and announce it at the beginning of Stake Conference. Can we say, scary?! I think my topic will be on cheerfully fulfilling your calling, your responsibilities, living life etc. I already have some conference talks picked out to read for inspiration and direction, but I guess procrastinating my talk a little longer is what will get me to blog today! :)
I actually have a blog post almost ready that I started back in July....

What? I have a blog?
You have just experienced the characteristic drought that happens to a blog when the writer has morning, or rather, all day sickness....
We are expecting! Baby Boy #3!
I will begin to back post eventually, but I just don't care about stuff lately-Im too tired to. So who knows when that will start. Ideally, I'd like to finish before Christmas. It has been on my mind for the last month or so.
Life has been busy lately, most of which I'll try to include in my back posting-for journalling purposes (even though I haven't taken many pictures the last few months).
Another big thing to happen in our family is, Jon was called to be the Second Counselor in the Bishopric in our ward. He was set apart and ordained a High Priest last Sunday. It was great to have most of his family with us. We are excited for this new adventure.
