Karate Tournament

On a cold, snowy day, we trekked out to the Jordan Commons. This is the boys first Tournament. They prepared a form, self defense and also participated in flag sparring.

Max did great on his stuff. He was a little nervous, but once he remember what he was doing he did great!

Flag sparring, is where there is a flag sticking out of your belt, same with your opponent and who ever pulls the others' flag out first wins.

Zac waiting to start. I accidentally, signed Zac up for the older group. He still did great though!

Here he is flag sparring. Look how much bigger that girl is!! I'm sure she was "accidentally" signed up for the younger group.

Max got a silver medal for self defense, a silver medal for flag sparring and a gold medal for forms.

Zac got a bronze is flag sparring, a bronze in self defense and a gold in forms

And they both also got a participation medal. It was a great experience for them both!
